In every brochure you see advertising the Northern Territory there are photos of people sitting on the edge of a sheer red cliff face. That is King’s Canyon! And it was here that we began gorging on Gorgeous Gorges! If you haven’t been there yet…it is well worth it! Absolutely beautiful! We arrived around morning tea time, and set out to do the Rim Walk, undeterred by the wall of seemingly endless steps disappearing out of view…we began. The walk is 6km but it is over rugged terrain, there’s a lot of climbing, going up and going down…so it’s slow going.
The start of the Rim walk, From left: Poppy, Connor, Rosa, Josie, Leisl, Karen and Nonna! | Some parts were just a stroll | Rich, red rocks towered over us at various stages! |
| The girls and Nonna talking about Dinosaur plants! | Daniel, the 3 girls & Nonna… I was tempted to call this “Daniel’s Gap” |
We spotted Connor (who had run ahead, grrrr) from this Lookout! was a tad stressful! | Going down into The Garden Of Eden. All together again! | |
Just another day at School! | Beautiful colours in those sheer cliffs! | Kids on the edge!!! Well, sorta |
Connor is obviously not afraid of heights like his Mother! | Poppy & Nonna, still grinning after that huge walk! | Josie jumped on this “Croc Rock” |
